How do I book?
To ensure that you are allocated the date and the time slot of your choice, a provisional telephone booking should be made as far in advance as possible. You will then be sent out a booking from which should be completed and returned to us, along with a £50.00 deposit (deposit is non-refundable). Cheques should be made payable to Atherstone Visitor Centre. On receipt on the deposit the booking will be confirmed and you will be invoiced for the remainder of the balance. This final payment should be made on the day of your visit, if payment is not made on the day of your visit, you will be sent out another invoice, this will incur a £10 administration charge.
Pre visits – pre visits are available for teachers and leaders. These visits take place outside of school hours (after 3pm) and must be pre arranged. It is regrettable but visits are not available during school holidays or weekends.
What to wear
Please ensure that children are dressed sensibly. Full school uniform is not suitable, as the children may get muddy. School t-shirts and jumpers are best teamed with long trousers. This protects the legs from exposure to the sun, and protects against midges and plants such as brambles and nettles.
During the summer a sun hat and sunscreen is recommended and a hat, scarf and gloves in the winter months. Waterproof coats are recommended for any time of the year along with stout walking shoes or Wellingtons.
Room hire for meetings.
Our fully equipped education room is available for hire and would make the perfect place for your meeting. Please telephone 01827 713438 for further information. Refreshments can be provided.
