Organising a school trip? Plantasia offers a great, interactive day out that's educational too. Here's a roundup of what you can expect:

Plantasia Interactive

We bring mother nature to life with lots to touch and smell to help little ones have fun while they learn. Sol, the talking sunflower, will be your guide through the Earth Centre as you discover 4 different worlds. From the Land of the Living to the Hothouse, Aqua Chamber and finally the Ozone Area, there's plenty to discover.


Wild Walk

Explore the wild size of Plantasia and meet our furry friends! From llamas and pigs to donkeys and birds, we've got a whole array of animals just waiting for you.   

Maze World

Explore the UK's largest collection of permanent mazes in our fantastic Maze World. Make a day of it and work your way through all 6 mazes, each with a different theme.

All of the above attractions are teacher led and can be enhanced with educational worksheets based on your requested theme. From literacy to numeracy and more, simply let us know your preference when you book. 

Guided Discovery Sessions 

Contact us to arrange guided sessions that we can tailor to fit in with the national curriculum, from habitat exploration to shelter building, we can help you choose the focus of your visit. 


Hiring Equipment  

Speak to our receptionist who'll be happy to organise equipment hire for you. Equipment is booked out on a first come, first served basis so please do book early to avoid disappointment. Here's what you can choose from:

  • Pond dipping - £20 an hour plus a refundable deposit of £80. Set includes 5 trays, 10 bug viewers, identifications sheets and instructions.
  • Minibeast hunting - £20 hour plus a refundable deposit of £80. Includes 5 trays, 10 bug viewers, 10 magnifying glasses, 1 white sheet, 10 pooters, identification sheets and instructions. 
  • Surveying equipment - £20 an hour plus a refundable deposit of £80. Set includes 5 hoops or quadrats, tape measures, clipboards and pencils, soil thermometers, plant identification sheets and instructions.  


How to book:

To ensure that you are allocated the date and the time slot of your choice, a provisional telephone booking should be made as far in advance as possible.

You will then be sent out a booking from which should be completed and returned to us, along with a £50.00 deposit (deposit is non-refundable). Cheques should be made payable to Atherstone Visitor Centre.

On receipt on the deposit the booking will be confirmed and you will be invoiced for the remainder of the balance. This final payment should be made on the day of your visit, if payment is not made on the day of your visit, you will be sent out another invoice, this will incur a £10 administration charge.
